Social logins

Social logins allow users to quickly and easily log into your online store using their existing social media accounts, eliminating the hassle of creating a new customer account and remembering multiple passwords.

Sellvio provides integration with several widely used social platforms such as X (Twitter), Facebook and Google.

To set up social logins, first click on the External Services menu item in the left menu bar, then on the External Services administration page, click on the Social Logins tab.

IMPORTANT: To use all Sellvio extensions, the webshop owner must have a separate account with the listed providers.

The webshop owner can access the parameters required to set up the integration directly after creating his/her own account with the given provider.

Facebook

To enable Facebook login, the store owner must create a Facebook developer account and then create an app within the Facebook developer interface.

When creating the app, you must configure general settings, including the app name, app publishing status, domains, and permissions. After creating the app, the Facebook developer account owner will receive the app ID and encryption key from Facebook.

Social logins

  1. App ID - the application identifier created in the Facebook developer account.
  2. App Secret - the encryption key provided by Facebook directly after the application is created.
  3. Redirect URL - the web address to which Facebook redirects the customer after successful login. This address is automatically provided by Sellvio for all web stores. The web address displayed in the non-editable field must be copied and pasted under the application under the Facebook developer account.
  4. Active - determines whether the service is active or not. When disabled, the Facebook login option will not be displayed for the customers of the web store.

The above data only needs to be set once in Sellvio, as the Facebook login can be turned on or off at any time using the Active slider.

Google

To enable Google Sign-in, the store owner must create a Google Developer account and then an OAuth 2.0 client within the Google Developers interface.

When creating the client, the OAuth 2.0 client name, credentials, application URL, and redirect URL must be set. After creating the OAuth 2.0 client, the Google Developer account owner will receive the ID and encryption key from Google.
